? 2FA Says It's Off… But It’s Still There
 
Hostinger offers two 2FA methods:
- Mobile app authentication (e.g., Google Authenticator)
- Email verification code
 
I manually disabled both options in the security settings. The interface clearly showed “Enable” for both — meaning 2FA should be off.
 
That’s what I thought.
 
But the next time I logged in, Hostinger still prompted me with an email verification message saying:
“We've sent a verification code to your email. Please enter it to continue.”
 
To be clear, I did receive the email, so the issue isn’t with delivery.
The problem is: Why is 2FA still being enforced when it's turned off?
 
It feels like a system bug — the UI says it’s disabled, but the backend still enforces verification.
 
? Temporary Workaround: Google Login
 
To test other options, I tried logging in via Google (using the “Sign in with Google” button).
Surprisingly, it worked. No email verification screen popped up, and I was logged in successfully.
 
However, this is just a temporary workaround for testing.
I don’t recommend relying on Google login as a long-term method, especially for important accounts. For account security, a dedicated and clearly managed 2FA method is much more reliable.
 
✅ My Recommendations:
- Hostinger’s email verification works fine — no delivery issues
- The real problem is that even when you disable 2FA, it still triggers verification
- Google login can bypass the 2FA screen, but should only be used as a temporary solution
- For best security, re-enable one form of 2FA (preferably app-based) to ensure your account remains protected
 
This experience taught me that security settings aren't just about what you turn on or off — it’s about whether the system actually respects those settings.

有一次在美國還是澳洲記不清了，去租車，租車公司（非華人公司）居然拿出一份中國平安的車輛保險。看内容是專門為海外自駕游設計的產品。與租車公司其他當地保險公司的租車車輛保險相比，確實便宜了不少。當然，我也知道國内保險公司的理賠的尿性。但是，能把保險產品投放到海外的，也就見過平安財險一家。
 
在海外租車還是有不少門道，等有時間再來寫一寫。

It was a product specially designed for overseas self-driving tours. Compared to other local insurance companies, the rental car insurance is actually much cheaper. 中轉住宿裏面最差的是國航在北京機場的住宿，類似城中村的小旅館，那條件差的慘不忍睹。
 
海航在深圳的中轉住宿賓館條件非常一般，不遠處就是工廠之類的，但離機場很近。
 
廈航的中轉住宿，以福州和廈門爲例，賓館條件還不錯，而且提供早餐。似乎都是廈航自己的產業。但福州的中轉住宿賓館雖然距離機場近，但附近沒有商店和餐館，吃飯、買東西都要打車出去。廈門的中轉住宿距離機場較遠，而且路上容易堵車，正常情況不到半個小時。極端情況下竟然需要兩個小時。
 
別的航空公司提供的中轉住宿賓館雖然也住過，但都沒啥印象了。東航/南航/國航的都要提前申請，有名額限制。海航的基本都提供，不用提前申請。廈航的也不用提前申請，全部都提供。

HNA's transit accommodation at Haikou airport used to be a hotel in the building opposite the terminal. HNA's flight crew also stayed in this hotel. In general, the hotel was not bad.
 
The worst transit accommodation is Air China's accommodation at Beijing airport, which is similar to a small hotel in the middle of a village in the city, and the conditions are terrible.
 
HNA's transit accommodation in Shenzhen is very average, not far from the factories and so on, but very close to the airport.
 
Xiamen Airlines transit accommodation, Fuzhou and Xiamen, for example, the hotel conditions are not bad, and provide breakfast. Seems to be Xiamen Airlines own property. But Fuzhou's transit accommodation hotel is close to the airport, but there are no shops and restaurants nearby, eat, buy things have to take a taxi out. Xiamen's transit lodging is further away from the airport, and the road is prone to traffic jams, and under normal circumstances it takes less than half an hour. 再者，人工智能寫的脚本質量一般，寫全新的脚本還勉强。調試現有脚本就比較查了，小的地方也會出錯，而且會連續出錯。學習能力沒有想象那麽好，同樣的錯誤，幾天都沒有改進。邏輯關係複雜一點的東西，人工智能很難對付，很快就會被被繞進去。而且會把不同的脚本搞混了。
 
最後，人工智能與人類很相似，出錯先想混過去，或者找客觀理由，還會偷奸耍滑。
所以，人工智能也需要有經驗的管理人員駕馭。
